Going to have to disagree with the supposed copyright here...

Any design of rank or other uniform insignia originating with the United States Military is public domain;

Any historical design or picture made prior to 1923 IAW the Copyright Act of 1976 is in the public domain.

At best, what is displayed here is a copy of U.S. military insignia which was originally created prior to 1860. By law, the "creator" of these images cannot claim a copyright. Bmac48 01:41, 2 May 2010 (EDT)
